This project transformed a raw, unfinished basement into a bright and functional living space with modern finishes and thoughtful detailing. Starting from exposed framing and mechanicals, the entire basement was insulated, drywalled, and rebuilt with clean lines and a neutral palette to maximize light and openness.
A major highlight is the custom-built staircase. The old framing and landing were restructured for safety and aesthetics, then finished with sleek engineered treads, white risers, modern black spindles, and integrated LED step lights for a luxury feel.
The new basement bathroom features contemporary tilework, a floating vanity in navy with gold hardware, matte-black fixtures, and a minimalist illuminated mirror. Tile flooring and a modern linear shower drain provide a high-end finish typically seen in upper-floor bathrooms.
Across the entire basement, new wide-plank flooring creates a warm visual flow, complemented by new doors, trim, and perfectly balanced recessed LED lighting. HVAC ducts and mechanicals were boxed in cleanly with soffits to maintain ceiling height while hiding utilities.
The result is a fully finished lower level that feels bright, cohesive, and modern — designed to perform well as additional living space while maintaining a clean connection to the rest of the home.
