This residential bathroom update transformed an outdated space into a bright, modern sanctuary featuring a high-contrast design.
The core of the project was the complete rebuild of the shower. The original tiled shower was stripped down to the studs, re-insulated, and received a proper waterproofing membrane system. The final design features a stunning two-tone tile scheme: large light grey rectangular tiles on the floor and lower walls, paired with clean, vertical white subway tiles on the upper wall. The shower also features a linear drain, a custom inset niche framed in black, and a full suite of matte black fixtures (rain head, handheld sprayer, and controls). The frameless glass enclosure with black hardware completes the sleek look.
Outside the shower, the floor was laid with large-format white marble-look porcelain tile. The vanity area features a floating double-sink vanity with rich wood-look drawer fronts, complemented by a horizontal wood slat accent wallbehind the mirror. New modern lighting and black faucets reinforce the contemporary aesthetic.
